The Campus

The institute is located near Pali Road in Faridabad (Haryana) near Badkhal lake. Spread over an area of 40.81 acres, the campus in beautifully landscaped and is fre-quently visited by native and migratory birds. The insti-tute building is beautifully landscaped, with a unique architectural design. It has a sprawling lush, green campus of 42 acres situated in N.C.R. It has state-of-art training halls, computer Labs, hostels, indoor and outdoor sports complex and library having unique architectural design. There is a large and sprawling stone building of the institute, spacious classrooms, faculty rooms, management and administrative wing. Residential accommodation for participants of various courses, faculty, staff and is also provided in the campus. Five generators systems with total capacity of 1405 KVA have been installed on standby mode to ensure round the clock uninterrupted power and water supply in the campus.

Training Infrastructure

The lecture hall in institute are equipped with the most modern facilities. At present it has eleven air conditioned lecture halls, one conference hall, one seminar hall and one board room.

Computer labs

There are two computer labs and one research lab in the institute having all Intel i5 machines and 1 Gbps leased line internet connectivity. The Administrative Block and Hostels have Wi-Fi internet connectivity, functional on 24x7 bases.

Residential Facility

Appropriate accommodation is provided to all participants of the programme AJNIFM has self -contained hostel facilities in two separate Hostels viz. Ganga Hostel and the Yamuna Hostel. Catering, laundry, house-keeping and maintenance services have been outsourced and are professionally organized. Mess is compulsory for all residents of AJNIFM hostels.

Subject to availability, allotment of family accommodation is also made to the participants desirous of staying with family. The family suites are allotted on first come first serve basis on payment regulated as per extant orders of AJNIFM.

  • Daily newspapers/magazines are available for reading in the lounge (Ground Floor) of the hostel.
  • Two Washing Machines have been installed in the Hostel for use by the Probationers / trainee officers, in the bathroom of room number 128 at first floor..
  • Reverse Osmosis Water Filters are installed in the Hostel. Probationers are advised not to drink unfiltered water.

Library

AJNIFM library is covering approximately 1000 sq. meter of carpet area with two floors. The library is fully computerized and used bar-code technology for circulation and stock verification. Further more, the library subscribes online databases.

Library Resources:

The library has large variety of knowledge resources. It holds a very rich collection of printed as well as electronic resources which includes books, journals, databases, case studies, trend reports and policy documents etc. The total collection of library is over 30,000. The library also maintains a selective collection of CD-ROMs, Video cassettes and Bound periodicals. Besides that, library subscribes 84 Indian, 26 foreign journals, 17 magazines and 19 newspapers. Further more, the library has 18609 indexed articles. In addition, the library has developed an archive on finance and other related subjects which contains World Bank, CAG, IMF, RBI and government documents. Library is also a member of DELNET.

Medical Services

A Medical Officer (presently Dr. K.S. Jindal) visits the hostel everyday (except holidays and Sundays) to provide medical services to the officer trainees at certain specified hours. He can also be contacted at odd hours in case of emergency on telephone Nos.2417206 (Clinic) and 2284028 (Residence). Serious cases are referred to AJNIFM empanelled hospitals on the advice of Dr. Jindal.

An Ayurvedacharya Dr. Sandeep Verma also visits the hostel on Tuesdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM to provide medical services to the officer trainees.

Sports, Outdoor Theatre and Auditorium

Indoor games such as billiards, squash, badminton, table tennis, gymnasium, yoga and other recreational facilities are available in the sports complex in the campus. Outdoor games facilities include courts for tennis, volleyball, basketball, besides cricket and football ground. The institute has open air theatre with seating capacity of 500 persons where cultural programme are organized. The centrally air conditioned modern auditorium with seating capacity of 200 persons has been built with all modern equipment's.
