Holds degree of Masters in Computer Application and is also a Certified Software Quality Professional.

Joined National Informatics Centre, Government of India in 1991 at the grass root level as District Informatics Officer. Since then has been involved in development and implementation of various eGovernance systems across the country.

Has played an instrumental role in design development and widespread adoption of NIC-eGPNIC system, the Government eProcurement System of NIC, GePNIC across India. NIC has also developed an eAuction system which caters to Forward and Reverse auctions of various kinds.

Currently heads the eProcurement Implementation Division at NIC and responsible for implementation of GePNIC across 30 State (Provinces) and that of Central Public Procurement Portal in around 580 Central Government Entities. This is one of the flagship projects of NIC.

Has been invited as speaker on electronic procurement in various National and International forums.
